Rear Light Guards
I fitted some rear light guards which are produced by VAG. They are simple to fit and just fit behind the lights and the bolts on the lights pass through them to hold them in place.

The light guards come up quite often on UK ebay. Unfortunately they are no longer available from VW.
i have these fitted on mine too , i will try and post a pic they were on when i got my T4.
